Capacity Building on Prevention and Management of Diabetes

frontcover1

Diabetes is rising rapidly in the world including low income countries like Nepal resulting in 1.5 million deaths worldwide. To address this global burden, World Health Assembly has set one of the nine targets of its Global Action Plan to "halt the rise in diabetes and obesity by 2025". All health professionals and relevant stakeholders should work hand in hand to meet this target. In Dhulikhel Hospital, we believe that nurses have significant role in both prevention and management of diabetes and make the global vision of stopping diabetes a reality at local levels. Therefore, this three day workshop on "Capacity building on Prevention and Management of Diabetes" is designed specifically for registered nurses of Nepal with objective to empower them for diabetes care.
