Introduction

Dhulikhel Hospital-KUTH library established with collaboration between Dhulikhel Hospital and Kathmandu University in 1998. KUSMS MBBS students, B.Sc. Nursing, paramedical students of Dhulikhel Medical Institute (DMI) and Dhulikhel Hospital staffs are getting benefited from the library. About 200 Students and 45 Staffs visit the library every day.
 
The library is equipped with medial books, video and audio cassettes, CD-ROMS, journals and magazines. The library has infrastructures like periodical section, technical processing section, reference section, stack-cum-reading room, circulation section. Currently Dhulikhel Hospital-KUTH library has 4,500 volumes of medical books in 47 different disciplines, 250 CD-ROMs, 100 journal titles and newsletters, 50 audio cassettes and online information resources.
There are several online information resources (MCB Emerald, EBSCop Host, Oxford University Press, African Online Journal, Blakwell Synergy, Spring Link, Cambridge University Press Journal and Hinari etc) available purely for academic purpose.
The library also has 15 computers with internet facilities for study and research purpose. Library provides various services like circulation, interlibrary loan, reference and referral services, digital identity card print, internet and e-mail services, wireless internet facility, reprographic services, user education, current awareness services (CAS) and paper clippings

Library opens from 7:00 am till 8:00 pm everyday and reading room opens 24 hour.
